A quick thought about AI

Oh.

Found a new setting on the project page. Now you have to disclose if AI are used or not - and in which category. This is something the social media apps has started to flag as well, and platforms like Steam too.

I dont mind disclosing that I WILL be using generative AI for some of my needs, I could not have done this without smart tools, plugins of others, prefab assets or some AI-tools.

The discussion of WHAT the AI-tool trains on is a very valid one. I support creators of any kind - and I dont think you should use AI to imitate or do something "in the style of" a known artist/creator. Thats questionable for me.

But, I do think, no-one is going to raise their eyebrows in a couple of years about using AI in projects. That disclosure will soon feel standard enough. I realy think you will miss out if you dont use AI to help you (yes, help - no do it for you entirely).

Keep the ethics discussion going, but do see what you can do with AI as well.

A simple thing for me is using AI to help me with spreadsheets. Sorting data is boring and AI can help me really fast here.

Whats your thoughts, is it a hard no for AI-touched content for you?
